About This Race

The Hot for a Cause 5K is a summer run/walk benefiting Yakima Union Gospel Mission and the people in the community who endure dangerous summer temperatures without shelter or support. Hosted at the same venue as the Cold for a Cause event, it brings awareness to homelessness in the Yakima Valley during the heat of summer. Every registration helps provide shelter, meals, outreach, and recovery services to neighbors experiencing homelessness.
