About This Race

The Simsonian 5K Kick-Off Classic is an annual race in Grosse Ile, Michigan that includes a 5K and a 1 mile Fun Run/Walk. It honors Steve Sims, a former GIHS teacher and coach, and all proceeds support the Grosse Ile Educational Foundation Steve Sims Leadership Scholarship. Race day features commemorative T-shirts, a DJ after-race party, raffles, and age-category medals.
