About This Race
The 29th Annual Kristin Burkholder 5k Walk/Run takes place in Esko, MN, in memory of Kristin Burkholder, a 12-year-old who died from injuries suffered in a pedestrian-car accident while running for track practice in 1997. All proceeds are donated to scholarships for Esko students. The event includes a kids race and a 5k, with awards for overall and age-group finishers.
