Help support Childhood Language Center by participating in 2026's Childhood Language Center's Firecracker 5K Run/Walk!

Celebrate Independence Day with this fun race and support a great local cause! RUN, WALK, RIDE a bike...bring your entire family (even your dogs!) and participate in our 5K! 

We are excited to partner with the much-anticipated Charleston's Sternwheel Regatta as their official race again this year!  All proceeds from this race benefit children at the Laurance Jones, III Childhood Language Center - a free speech therapy clinic for children.

Race Details

Location: Magic Island

Race Route: Start/Finish at Magic Island (Turnaround Point is Big Lots)

Race Packet Pick-up Information:
Friday, July 3rd from 10am-3pm at the Childhood Language Center (1313 Quarrier Street, Charleston, WV)
**If you are unable to pick-up your bib and shirt on Friday, you will be able to pick up prior to the race on Saturday. We will open up registration at 7am on July 4th.

All proceeds benefit the Childhood Language Center to provide free speech and language therapy services to children across West Virginia.
