About This Race
The South Padre Island Muzicians Run is a timed, chip-timed 5K and 10K with a 1 Mile option held at Beach Waterpark. The course features live mariachis about every half mile, and participants receive tacos, beer or margaritas at a Mariachi After Party. The flat out-and-back course starts about one hour before sunset and benefits a local non-profit.
Course & Race Day Details
Hydration Support
Cup-less run with at least two water refill stations along the routes located at mariachi/music locations; bring your own cup or water bottle.
Awards
Age Group Awards and Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Female and Male in both the 5K and 10K, announced at approximately 6:30pm; a costume contest is also held at the after party.

Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup is same day from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 pm at Beach Waterpark, plus an Early Packet Pickup Fiesta Party with Mariachis on Friday Night (Location & Time TBD).
