About This Race
The Swarthmore Lions Independence Eve 8K (5 mile) and 2 1/2 Mile Walk is a friendly, small-town community race held in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania at 7:00pm. The relatively flat 8K route winds through the charming, tree-lined neighborhoods of Swarthmore, drawing runners from across the Delaware Valley. Proceeds support Lions charities that assist the visually impaired, including the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Chester and the Delaware Valley Eye Bank.

Awards to the first three overall male and female runners and to the first three male and female runners in 9 age groups: 10 and under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.

Packet Pickup
On site registration and packet pick-up in the Borough Hall lobby at 121 Park Avenue from 5:00pm to 6:45pm on race day.
