About This Race
The Nick Teddy 5k is held in memory of Nick Strub of Port Byron, who died of Ewing's sarcoma in 2011. The event features a 5k run/walk and a Teddy Trot for children, with prizes for the overall men's and women's runners. Proceeds benefit the Nick Teddy Foundation, which funds Ewing's sarcoma research and supports local survivors and their families. The race is held alongside Tug Fest-IL.
