About This Race

The Gibbet Hill Cattle Run is an 8.4-mile, three-person team relay in Groton, Massachusetts, with each member running two 1.4-mile legs over cattle trails and 'castle ruins' up Gibbet Hill. The event raises money for local charities and features barbecue, beer, and live music at the finish line. It also includes single-loop and Little Lambs mini runs for children.

Gibbet Hill Cattle Run (3-person relay)
To participate in the Run, the minimum fundraising requirement is $150* per team of three. (*The registration fee will be raised to $180 after July 15, 2026.) All fees and monies raised will be donated to one or any combination of six 2026 beneficiaries (see below). Registration includes a place in the race, barbecue, and one beer for each of the three runners. But don’t stop at the minimum requirement! Our fundraising platform will allow unlimited donation support from friends and family with some great prizes for target donation levels.
