About This Race

The Run for Raptors Trail Race is the 10th annual trail event held at Camp Lake of the Woods in Swope Park, Kansas City. The race takes place on the Swope Trails and features a 5K walk/run and an 11K run (roughly 6.8 miles). Lakeside Nature Center staff bring educational raptors to the event, and all racers receive a raffle ticket as part of their registration.

Hydration Support

One water station around the halfway point of both races on the trail, a water fountain at the Lake Lodge, and one water station at the finish.

Awards

First Place male and female runners in each distance (excluding walkers) for the race will receive free race entry next year!

Race Weekend Logistics

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup at Lakeside Nature Center (4701 E Gregory Blvd, KCMO 64132) on Friday, 7/31 from 10 AM - 4 PM; race day pickup at Lake Lodge from 6:30 AM - 7:45 AM Saturday morning.
