About This Race

The VC Hornet Hustle is an annual community event in Valley Center, Kansas hosted entirely by volunteers from the Valley Center elementary schools and VCIS PTOs. It offers a 5K Road Race, a 2-Mile Road Race, a 1-mile family run/walk, and shorter fun runs for young children. All proceeds are split equally among the five participating schools.

STUDENT REGISTRATION: This race route starts at the Valley Center Immediate School and runs throughout Valley Center, therefore registrants ages 12 and younger, must be accompanied by a runner ages 18+. Please register by August 7, 2026 to receive a T-Shirt at the race. Medals will be given for male and female 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the following age groups: 5-8, 9-12, 13-19.
