About This Race

The 45th Annual Walter Hunt 4th of July 3K Road Race is billed as Maine's Fastest Road Race and runs in Brewer, ME on July 4 just before the Brewer-Bangor parade. The course follows the 4th of July parade route 15 minutes before the parade, with crowds cheering runners to the finish. Race registration is free for Sub5 track club members, and the race is part of the MAINE SAVINGS Sub5 Race Series. Water and post-race snacks are available at the finish.

Bib pick-up for all pre-registered runners and race-day registration will be at Brewer Auditorium from 8:00 to 9:05 a.m. Bib pick-up and registration closes at 9:05 a.m.

Where: Start at Brewer Auditorium, Wilson Street, Brewer, Maine and Finish at Pickering Square Parking Garage, Bangor, Maine Pre-registration Price $15 Race Day Registration $25 Available 8:00-9:00 AM. Race Day Parking: Brewer Auditorium (very limited) and Brewer Shopping Center. T-Shirts: $12 (while supplies last) Water and snacks will be available at the finish. Strollers are allowed but must start behind other runners. There is no bus back to the start of the race, please plan accordingly, keeping in mind parade road closures.
