About This Race

The Run 4 Kerri 4 Miler is a nonprofit charity race in Wakefield, Rhode Island, created to preserve the memory of Kerri Lynn Bessette. Proceeds fund a memorial scholarship for senior female track and field athletes at South Kingstown High School and support the Narragansett Youth Track Series. The race begins at 9:00 am with day-of registration closing at 8:45 am. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age division along with cash prizes for overall winners.

Course Records: Male: Amos Sang (2014) 18:44 Female: Laura Nagel (2015) 21:30 Cash Prize to top 3 male and female finishers overall, $200, $100 and $50. Additionally the first male and female master will receive $50 and be eligible for top 3 prizes as well. Tour De France style sprint bonuses - First male and female runner to cross the mile 1 will receive $50 and $25 will be awarded for first male and female to reach mile 2 and mile 3. Awards to the top three finishers in each age division: 12 and under 13-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70+ - All entrants eligible for prize drawings - Light refreshments following the race - T-shirts guaranteed to first 400 pre-registered runners and walkers. - New Course Record $100, both male and female
