About This Race
The Outrun the Cops 5K run/walk and 10K run is a timed charity event that begins and ends at the Gurnee Police Department, with the majority of the course on the Des Plaines River Trail. Gurnee Police Officers line up at the rear and try to beat participants to the finish line. Proceeds benefit the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center and other local charities. Aid stations with water and sports drinks are positioned throughout the trail.

Medals awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females in age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over

Pick up at the Gurnee Police Department, 100 N O'Plaine Rd. Thursday June 25 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday June 26 7:00 AM-7:00 PM. Packets also available on race day.
