Alana's Eternal Light 5K

Alana's Eternal Light 5K is a sunset run held in memory of 15-year-old Alana VanMeter, who passed suddenly from a pulmonary embolism in 2025. The race starts at CrossWind Community Church in Genoa, Illinois and runs through Alana's neighborhood, past her home, and along her bus route before returning to the church. Proceeds support Alana's Wings of Hope, a fund created to honor her memory and help families impacted by sudden and tragic losses. The event also celebrates what would have been Alana's 16th birthday.
