About This Race
The Percival's Island Firecracker 5 Mile Race celebrates Independence Day in Lynchburg, VA. The start and finish are at the Blackwater Creek Natural Area Percival's Island in downtown Lynchburg, and the course follows the paved Blackwater Creek Bikeway, a rails-to-trails path along the James River. The flat, shaded out-and-back course is the 9th race in the Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series. The chip-timed event is open to ages 9 and older.

Friday 7/3 12-6pm at Riverside Runners (2480 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg); Saturday 7/4 race day 7-7:30am at Percival's Island Natural Area.
