About This Race
The Billington Memorial 5K is a Fourth of July road race in Somerset, MA, starting at 8:30 a.m. at Pierce Beach on South Street. The course follows the scenic Taunton River along Riverside Avenue and is mostly flat with two small hills. All runners receive a T-shirt, with mile markers, water stations, post-race refreshments, and awards. The race is named in memory of Greg Billington, a Somerset athlete who died of colon cancer, and his father Raymond Billington.
