About This Race

The 29th Annual Grandpa's Run for the Walleye is held on July 4th in Crosslake, Minnesota, the same day as the fireworks over Cross Lake. Both the 5K and 10K races are on certified courses and are professionally chip timed by Pickle Events. A Kids Sunfish Dash for children up to age 10 follows the main races, and proceeds support fish habitat on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes.

Hydration Support

Dog water dishes are located at each water stop (2 on the 5K and 4 on the 10K).

Award to top male and female finisher in 5K and 10K; medals for top three male and female finishers in each division.

Packet pickup Friday afternoon July 3rd between 4 PM and 6 PM at the Crosslake Community Center; also race day 7:00-8:00 AM.

Kids Sunfish Dash
The Sunfish Dash is for Children up to 10 years old. Children are grouped by age and distance varies for each group. All children entered will receive a "Swag Bag". Children registered prior to June 23rd will be guaranteed a Run T-shirt.
