About This Race

Springfield's inaugural Freedom Run 5K is held on July 4, 2026 in historic downtown Springfield, Kentucky, honoring the First Responders who serve Springfield and Washington County. The course begins and ends in front of the courthouse on Main Street, passing through scenic Idle Hour Park before a sustained climb along Lincoln Park Road. Awards include medals for top overall and age group finishers, plus team trophies in fun categories.

Race Weekend Logistics

Packet Pickup

Race packets/t-shirts can be picked up at Hancock County Savings Bank, Chester WV on July 3rd from 2:00pm - 5:00pm; race day pickup available near start/finish until the race starts.
