About This Race

The Elsey Mae Memorial Run is a 1-mile fun run and 5K held in loving memory of Elsey Mae Howland, who passed at 17 months old. The event takes place at Chautauqua Park in Beatrice, Nebraska and invites participants to walk or run, including with strollers and children on bikes. A memorial event follows the run with videos, photos, a butterfly release, and food and drinks. Proceeds go to the Elsey Mae Memorial Fund, with this year's donation supporting the Beatrice Public Library.
