About This Race
The IMDC Freedom Firecracker 5k and Sparkler 1 Mile is a family-friendly walk/run held at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center in Manassas, VA as a celebration of Independence Day. A portion of the race proceeds benefit Hero's Bridge, which serves elderly veterans. All 5k and 1 Mile runners receive a custom race shirt, medal, custom bib, and a digital finisher's certificate.
Course & Race Day Details
Hydration Support
One water station at the 1.5 mile mark with small unopened water bottles, plus water bottles available at the end of the race
Awards
No formal awards ceremony; top 3 overall men and women receive Running Store gift cards ($75/$50/$25), and top 3 male and female 5K finishers in each age group receive gift cards ($15/$10/$5).
