About This Race

Coach Mikes Run Through The Woods XC 5K is one of the oldest cross country 5K races, held in the woods behind the Athens YMCA in Athens, GA. The race begins on the YMCA track, makes two loops through the woods, and finishes back on the track. The event also offers a Fun Run that loops the track and a Phantom Runner virtual option. It is part of the Black Bag Race Series with timing provided by Classic Race Services.

Awards

Handmade pottery from the famous R. Wood Studio in Athens, GA. Awards given to Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and age group awards in standard 5-year age groups starting at 10 and under going through 80 and over.
