About This Race

The Island Ripple Run is a 4-mile race around two islands in Casco Bay off the coast of Portland, Maine. The course follows island roads and wooded paths around Great Diamond Island, crosses the sandbar to Little Diamond Island, and ends near the tent site on Great Diamond Island. All proceeds benefit the Dennis Farrell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Rippleffect. A Kids Diamond Dash precedes the main run, followed by light refreshments.

Kids Diamond Dash
The Diamond Dash is a kids fun run for runners 0 - 10 years of age. The races start and end on the historic parade ground on Diamond Cove . The course is marked for the Ripples, ages 0 - 4, ZipLiners, ages 5 - 7, and the Diamonders, ages 8 - 10. All participants will receive a race award!
