About This Race
The Byron Fest 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is held on the trails of the Byron Forest Preserve in Byron, Illinois, and is a 2026 Rockford Road Runners Circuit Race. The course features well maintained trails with panoramic views and varied terrain. Chip timing is provided by J3 Timing for the 5K, with plaques and medals awarded to top finishers. The 1 mile Fun Run is non-timed and all participants receive a participation medal.
