About This Race

The Granterio L. Short “I Am Proof Fitness” 5K is held in Hazlehurst, Mississippi at the city pavilion in remembrance of Granterio L. Short, a Navy veteran and father. The event centers on fitness and building health awareness, beginning the day with a 5K followed by community members socializing with healthcare professionals. Proceeds benefit upcoming athletic seniors at Hazlehurst High School to aid in furthering their education.
