About This Race
The Colorado Run for the Fallen is an annual commemorative tribute honoring over 480 Colorado fallen military service members from the Global War on Terror, as well as fallen EMS and police and fire. Participants run, walk, or ruck as individuals or teams, with each mile dedicated to individual service members whose names, ranks, and dates of loss are called out. The event offers a 1 Mile Hero Walk and a 5K Run, Ruck, or Walk, and includes opening and closing ceremonies at Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area.
