About This Race
The Illinois State Fair Parade Run is a two mile race that kicks off the Illinois State Fair, returning for its 35th annual running. The course starts inside the Illinois State Fairgrounds and heads out the front gate along the parade route, where parade watchers line the route and cheer runners on. Post-race refreshments and the awards ceremony follow in the Village of Culture.

Race packet pickup Wednesday, August 12 2026 from 3:30-6:00 p.m. at the Springfield Running Center, 2943 West White Oaks Drive, Springfield, IL; limited race day pickup at the fairgrounds in the Village of Cultures Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 3:30-4:45 p.m.
