About This Race

Howl at the Moon is a beach run at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, California, offering 5K, 10K, 10 mile, and half marathon distances on an out-and-back course along the beach path. The half marathon and 10 mile start at 7:00am, with the 5K and 10k at 7:30am. The course includes a stocked water station at Belmont Pier and a finish line aid station, and race photos are free.

Hydration Support

A fully stocked water station at Belmont Pier, plus a finish line aid station with water, gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks.

Awards

1st place medals are given to the overall 1st male and female in each distance.

Race Weekend Logistics

Packet Pickup

Saturday early bib pick-up 1-3:00pm at Sports Basement Long Beach; Sunday bib pick-up opens 6:20am near Claremont Ave.

Medical Support

A first aid kit is at each station and all High Tides Crew Members have received CPR training.
