About This Race

The Maple Rapids 5K Color Run is a colorful fun run held August 14, 2026 at 106 W Main St in Maple Rapids, MI, with a 6:30 PM start. Throughout the event participants are showered in colorful corn starch powder made with natural dyes, with a clean-off station provided afterward. Proceeds support the community and Lamplighter Festival, and there will be music and yard games in the social district.

5K walk/run 5K
Join us for a color run! We will be using powders made from natural dyes and corn starch that should easily wash off any material. Towels and washing stations will be set up for after the race. During and following the event there will be music and yard games happening in the social district so spectators and race goers can enjoy their time taking photos or grab a drink from Phillips Cider Bar and Pizzeria and/or Leo's Boat shed. Please note this race is not timed.
