The Spilman Thomas & Battle Jaunt for Justice 5K

If you want to participate in the Spilman Thomas & Battle Jaunt for Justice 5K and support the Legal Aid Society, but are unable to be there in person, join the Virtual Jaunt for Justice 5K! Pick your own 5K route, and run or walk along with other participants. You can, if you wish, submit your time on the race website upon completion of your run. Virtual runners will not be eligible for medals. Race Packet Pickup will be Friday, October 2nd, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Runabout Sports Roanoke.

The Spilman Thomas & Battle Jaunt for Justice 5K Kids' 0.5K Fun Run will be a short (0.31 mile) out and back fun run on the Roanoke River Greenway at River's Edge Sports Complex - North. The Kids' Fun Run will start at 8:10 a.m., immediately followed by the 5K. All Kids' Fun Run participants will receive a finisher medal! Race Packet Pickup will be Friday, October 2nd, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Runabout Sports Roanoke. On-site packet pickup/registration starts at 7:30 a.m. The Kids' Fun Run will start at 8:10 a.m. Start time for 5K race is 8:30 a.m. Thank you to Mountain Junkies LLC for providing timing for the Jaunt for Justice 5K Race! Note: We plan on running the race rain or shine. In case of severe weather, we will postpone the race until the weather has passed. For the safety of our participants, we will only cancel the race due to natural causes, terrorist attacks, or other things that will would put the safety of the runners or spectators at risk. If we have to cancel an event, we would defer your entry for the next year or allow you to run virtually.
