About This Race

The 28th Annual Freedom Festival 5K/8K Run & 5K Walk and Toddler Trot is held in Cass City, Michigan on July 4, 2026. The event offers a 5K Run, 5K Walk, 8K Run, and a Toddler Trot. The race is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, and participants receive a race t-shirt with post-race snacks and beverages. Proceeds support therapy equipment upgrades at Hills and Dales Cass City Center for Rehabilitation.

Participants will receive a race t-shirt with registration by June 17th. Adult and youth sizes available. Post race snacks and beverages available after the race.

Awards

5K Walk, 5K Run, 8K Run overall male/female and masters male/female winners. Medals for top three places in each age/gender division. Toddler Trot - all participants ages 7 and under receive a medal.

Toddler Trot
For kids 7 years & younger, the course is 1/2 mile long around the hospital. The race will start at 7:30 a.m. and must be completed by 7:50 a.m. Parents are welcome to run with kids. There will be crossing guards
