About This Race
The Hunger Hero 5K is a 3.1-mile run held on the morning of Belvidere's 250th anniversary, also marking the 40th anniversary of the Belvidere Food Pantry. The event is an 80s throwback bash with prizes for the best 80s individual and group costumes, plus age group awards. After the race, participants join the town-wide 250th celebration.
