About This Race

The Maxton Gudowski 5K Memorial Run/Walk honors Maxton Gudowski, who died in July 2024, with proceeds going to Cooper Community Care. It is the second annual running of the event, held at Portman Park in the Lakeside neighborhood of Duluth, MN, an area special to Maxton. Cooper Community Care is a Superior, WI nonprofit that helps reduce the impact of poverty on local families. A raffle on race day will benefit Safe Haven Shelter & Resource Center.
