About This Race
The DWTC & MC Kids Compassion Firecracker 5K is a July 4th run/walk through Dayton's Island Park and Triangle Park that supports children battling illness. The event welcomes runners, walkers, families, and strollers, and features music, motivational running stations, bubbles, superheroes, food, refreshments, and an ice-cream truck. Finisher medals and an event t-shirt are included. The event supports Brave Gowns, an organization that supplies decorative gowns for children with long hospital stays.
