About This Race
The Brentwood Firecracker 5K is one of the largest and longest-running 5Ks in Western Pennsylvania, a Pittsburgh Fourth of July tradition since 1983. A couple thousand runners, joggers, and walkers take on the iconic 3.1 mile course along Brownsville Road. The race starts at 9:00 AM in front of Brentwood Towne Square, immediately followed by the Brentwood 4th of July Parade. Proceeds support local organizations including the Brentwood Fire Department, Baldwin EMS, Brentwood Library, and the Brentwood Food Pantry.
