About This Race

The Shamrock Shuffle 5K is in its 14th year and starts in downtown Somerset at the Chamber Office. The event offers a 5K Run/Walk and a 5K Competitive Walk division, both priced at $25, plus a Fastest Kid In Town race for ages 12 and under. The course winds through downtown streets and neighborhoods, finishing at the Public Square fountain.

This is a Competitive Walk. By choosing the Walk, you are signing up in the Walk Division. You are eligible for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Competitive Walking Awards. Walking is defined as having one foot on the ground AT ALL TIMES. You may NOT spring, run, jog, and/or trot any portion of the course. To do so, even for one step, even if this is your first race, even if he or she "is only a kid" would be considered cheating and would be subject to disqualification. Please be fair to other Walkers.
