6.5ish miles of beautiful woods traversing over rocks, roots, bridges, catwalks and dirt. This is not a nicely groomed carriage trail. But it's an amazing jaunt through the terrain. You can look around, but I wouldn't look much or you'll trip and fall. You may trip and fall anyway, but that's all part of the fun.
Giveaway swag and finisher medals will be given out as well as prizes to the Overall Male/Female and the top male/female winner in the following age groups:
19 & under
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 & over
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND! DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE SANCTUARY!!!
We love seeing and caring for our wildlife friends and we cannot do that effectively if we allow dogs on to the preserve.
Not because we don't like them, but for very real reasons.
Dogs scare away the very animals we work to protect. The dogs’ predator smell will linger for hours, days, and even weeks afterwards– driving away other animals, sometimes permanently.
Our water is clean and potable (rated AA-S by the NYS Department of Conservation) and is used by over 100,000 residences in New York and Connecticut. Dog waste accounts for as much 30% of the bacteria found in reservoirs. It is important that our water remains clean for our wildlife and people like you.
