About This Race

The 5th Annual Bulldog Bolt 5K & 1-Mile Walk takes place July 4 at Saelens Park in Durand, Illinois, with a 2026 theme of Honoring All Who Served. The scenic, dog-friendly course welcomes runners, walkers, and four-legged companions, with free entry for all U.S. military veterans. Participants receive an exclusive 2026 Bulldog Bolt T-shirt and finisher medal. All proceeds benefit the Durand 4th of July Festival.
