About This Race
The Tucson Marathon is a net-downhill running event held since 1969, offering a USATF-certified Boston Marathon-qualifying course through the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson. The point-to-point half marathon route begins near Biosphere 2 in Oracle and finishes at Pima Community College Northwest Campus near Oro Valley, dropping a net 41 feet in elevation across mostly paved terrain. The event is produced by Aravaipa Running and also includes marathon, 50K ultra, relay, and wheelchair divisions.
