About This Race
The California International Marathon (CIM) is a point-to-point, net-downhill road marathon starting near Folsom Dam in Folsom and finishing at the California State Capitol in Sacramento, with a net elevation drop of approximately 366 feet. The gently rolling course with well-maintained streets and few turns consistently produces fast finishing times, making it one of the top Boston Marathon and U.S. Olympic Trials qualifying races in the country. CIM offers multiple entry tiers ranging from standard to worry-free options with varying transfer and deferral flexibility, and relay teams of up to five runners may also enter.
