About This Race
IRONMAN Arizona, held annually at Tempe Town Lake in Tempe, Arizona, concluded its 20-year run with a final edition in November 2025. The race offered a full 140.6-mile course with a swim in Tempe Town Lake, a three-loop 112-mile bike course through the desert landscape, and a two-loop marathon run along the lake and urban streets. Continued growth in the area, extensive construction, and development along the bike course made it impossible to find a viable route, prompting IRONMAN to hold a final commemorative race before permanently discontinuing the Tempe location.
