About This Race
The Garmin Kansas City Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, offering runners a showcase of the Heart of America's most celebrated landmarks along a USATF-certified course. Starting at Frank A. Theis Park near the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the 13.1-mile route winds through the World War I Museum and Memorial, Union Station, the Country Club Plaza, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, T-Mobile Center, and historic neighborhoods including Waldo, Westport, and 18th and Vine. The race uses MyLaps BIBTAG chip timing technology and has been recognized by RaceRaves as the Best Marathon in Missouri and listed among the top 20 marathons on BibRave.
