JP's Backyard Ultra/Hike, The Final Edition is a grassroots ultra event in its fourth and final year, born from race director Jonathan Pascual's personal journey with Stage IV paraganglioma. Set in the stunning trails of Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, participants tackle a 3.3-mile loop with 550+ feet of climbing and can complete up to 10 loops — a total of 33.3 miles — at their own pace throughout the day. All finishers receive a medal. The suggested $30 donation registration fee goes entirely to the Pheo Para Alliance, supporting research and patients affected by rare adrenal cancers. This is a true community event: wine for top finishers, a silent auction, raffle prizes, childcare, and a welcoming crowd make it a celebration of resilience.
