About This Race
The Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run, held annually since 1986, is a point-to-point race through the remote backcountry of the San Gabriel Mountains in Southern California. Starting at 5:00 AM in Wrightwood and finishing in Altadena, the 100.5-mile course climbs from 1,135 to 9,300 feet in elevation with nearly 19,000 feet of total gain through the San Gabriel National Forest. Entry is by lottery and requires a qualifying ultramarathon and eight hours of trail maintenance work prior to race day.
