About This Race
The HBCU Run & Brunch is a celebration of Black excellence, holistic health, and community held at Rainbow Beach on Chicago's South Side. Participants choose between a 10K run or 5K run/walk, both welcoming all athletic levels, before gathering at the Hillman Yard for The Pit — a vibrant post-race brunch featuring food vendors and DJ entertainment. The event is open to everyone, from HBCU and PBI alumni to Divine Nine members and community supporters. A portion of proceeds benefits the Hillman Recreation Foundation, with donations supporting the Care Moor Foundation for Civic Engagement.
