About This Race
The Life Time Leadville Trail 100 Run, presented by La Sportiva, is one of the most iconic ultramarathons in the world — a punishing 100-mile out-and-back course through the Colorado Rockies staged entirely above 9,000 feet elevation. Runners traverse rugged mountain trails and dirt roads, crossing Hope Pass twice at 12,500 feet, with the entire course set between 9,206 and 12,526 feet. Finishers who complete the course within 30 hours earn a coveted belt buckle — a 'big buckle' for sub-25-hour finishers — in a race known as 'The Race Across the Sky.'
