Lucky Eight 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon

The Lucky Eight 5K, 10K, 15K, and Half Marathon celebrates the lucky number eight with a scenic beach path event on 8/8/26 in Long Beach's Belmont Shores. Organized by A Better World Running — known for prioritizing community over competition — the race features out-and-back loops along the waterfront path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd. Each distance shares the same scenic corridor: the 5K is a single out-and-back, the 10K repeats it twice, the 15K three times, and the half marathon completes three 4.36-mile loops. Every finisher receives a custom medal and drawstring goodie bag, plus free post-race photos, Gatorade, Gu gels, and assorted snacks. Group discounts are available for teams of five or more.
