IRONMAN Lake Placid

IRONMAN Lake Placid is a full-distance triathlon set in the iconic Olympic village of Lake Placid, New York, deep in the Adirondack Mountains. Athletes complete a two-loop 2.4-mile swim in the calm, clear waters of Mirror Lake right in the center of town, then tackle a two-loop 112-mile bike course through the Adirondack peaks honored as the Best Bike Course Globally by the 2023 Athlete Choice Awards, and finish with a two-loop 26.2-mile marathon concluding at the historic Olympic speed skating oval. One of the oldest and most beloved IRONMAN events in North America, the race is celebrated for exceptional spectator access, the famous Mill Hill crowd section, and a scenic mountain setting unlike any other.
