About This Race
The High Lonesome 100 is a demanding 101-mile loop through the heart of the Sawatch Range in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, covering 23,500 feet of vertical gain at an average elevation of over 10,000 feet. Runners traverse 27 miles of the Continental Divide Trail and 35 miles of the Colorado Trail, pass through the ghost towns of St. Elmo and Hancock, and summit five alpine passes within a 37-hour cutoff. The course is 66% single track, making it a true backcountry mountain experience.
