About This Race
The Mad Mallard is a grassroots nighttime trail race held at Henry Horton State Park's Ronnie Bowers Wetland Trail, offering 3, 6, 12, and 24-hour timed formats on a three-mile single-track loop through cedar groves and hardwood forest along the Duck River. Starting at 7 PM, runners navigate a course marked with glow sticks and reflective markers with approximately 144 feet of elevation gain per loop. All proceeds benefit the Sgt David Hierholzer Fallen Warrior Foundation, which provides school supplies and clothing to children in the community.
