About This Race
The Northwell Orthopedics Great Gatsby Triathlon celebrates Long Island's Gold Coast triathlon tradition at Town of North Hempstead Beach Park in Port Washington. The 2026 edition features a fully redesigned 11-mile bike course on closed public roads and an all-new 5K run route through park paths, paired with a classic 500-meter open-water swim in the bay. The event is produced by RaceAwesome and sponsored by Northwell Health, and uniquely hosts the Northeast's only draft-legal triathlon division for high school and collegiate athletes. Categories range from individual adult to relay teams and a family option for adults and high schoolers competing together.
